These backdraft shutters are fairly basic construction but work extremely well. Just be careful where and which way around you mount it.
Well priced and good delivery time. Ducting was fine but I thought the bends were not as good.

There are several options available; Standard model for remote switching,and Timer models which incorporate an electronic time delay switch. Humidistat Control models are also available which are designed to switch on the fan as the humidity rises in the bathroom and off as it drops.
Construction
These fans are moulded in impact resistant high gloss ABS thermoplastics for strength, durability and finish.
Electrical
Transformer 220-240V ~ A.C. 50Hz Single phase.
Fans - 12v (15 watt)
These fans are double insulated and do not require an earth. All wiring must comply with current IEE regulations. A double pole isolating switch, having a contact separation of at least 3mm in all poles, must be used with a 3 amp fuse fitted.
Motor
Single phase induction motor with pre-oiled bearings fitted for a long maintenance free life and protected by a thermal fuse.
Installation
STY100 Series designed to be mounted on walls through 100mm (4") diameter flexible or rigid pipes.
Performance
The extract rate of all models is 70m³hr, 19 litres per second.

Al Senior An excellent fan. Once fitted I increased the sensitivity in a dry bathroom until the fan ran then backed it off a fraction so it stopped running and it works well. Clearing condensation well. It's quiet and looks good too

David Carruthers I actually bought the STY100T (Not humidity controlled) Works perfectly as expected. My old one WAS fine for many years, but the fan spindle eventually broke down and so, although mendable with a replacement fan, it seemed I had to purchase a completely new unit too as getting spare parts was proving complicated! I now have a brand new transformer should the original fail. Good value for money tbf and this model looks pretty swish to boot!
